Magical Winter in Switzerland
Magical winter
Dear readers how is your Sunday afternoon?
I am sitting in my library and looking at pictures from my Switzerland trip and I thought that I would share my experience with you.
It was a magical trip not because I like to travel which I do but everything that I laid my eyes on was different than before.
This was my first time I saw a winter horse race on a frozen lake where they also have winter polo in January every year.
This was the first time in my life that I skied at night. First I was so scared but then I loved it. I would definitely do it again.
They had a big ice-skating rink which was open during sunset and they played my favorite music. They also had two cafés around it. It was my favorite place to go for tea and watching the sun go down and people play hockey and ice skate.
Having lunch on top of the mountains with music played by a DJ made me wish to spend my whole winter like that.
A horse carriage with loud magical bells and furry seats was going around town each day bringing a special atmosphere to the air.
Every late afternoon the hotel lobby had a station with freshly made waffles and crapes that we all loved to indulge in. Even if you are on a diet the baking aroma in the air would break all diet restrictions. Which it did to me over and over and over.
A place where I stayed had a very nice outside hot tub. I went there every early evening for 30 minutes to sit in a hot bubbly water breathing ice fresh air and looking at breath taking mountain view with sun lightly brushing the top of snowy Alps.
One evening I went to a restaurant that’s called Romanov. Going there I thought it would give me a feeling of my Russian emperor. I did like the place and would definitely go back.
I Met many different people from all over the world and loved listening to their stories and experiences.
We had a cute bar next to the lobby where a charming lady singer was singing Italian romantic songs. My favorite was Caruso. I Loved her voice and performance. I Didn’t have a chance to ask her for her name and I was sorry about it.
I love Europe very much and maybe because I am from that side of the world. Every time I go there I feel at home.
Now I am in my kitchen and looking at a bouquet filled with spring flowers. It makes me laugh that I am writing about winter while enjoying spring time.
Looking forward to Sharing many more of my experiences with you.
Love
....Svetlana Snowflake
